Born in Catalão, Brazil, the director studied film and audiovisual media at the Universidade Federal Fluminense and history at the Universidade Federal de Goiás. After making several short films, he directed his first feature-length documentary Paulistas which premiered at DOK Leipzig. Vento Seco is his debut feature film.
